Local travelling

Langkawi has always been my perfect local destination. Langkawi is about an hour plane ride from Kuala Lumpur and is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea. Even though langkawi is in Malaysia, the feeling i get is as though I'm  somewhere in Thailand like Krabi but let me tell you, Langkawi can be pretty expensive. There is no 4 star hotel in Langkawi so you will either end up with one of the motels along the Chenang beach or one of those high-end resort where you will pay about USD 250 per night.

Here is my 5 things I love about Langkawi

1. I can just hopped on a plane and not have to think about currency/time difference
2. The beach is super perfect and stunning
3. Its an easy to get to location, not like going to Tioman or Pangkor
4. There is so much to do from shopping to the beach to sightseeing
5. Food is plenty and they are cheap as well as super good

The girls decided to take a short weekend break 2 weeks ago and the smart traveler in us manage to booked the flight way back in July for less than RM200. We decided that it would be a do nothing beach holiday and we just want to basically hang around and shop. I was in charge of all the planning and the ground work. (who am i to refuse since i love to plan holidays).

4 days before the trip got us worried because of the haze but i guess God pitied us and the haze cleared up when we got there.

Wanting to be a Tai Tai, we booked ourselves for a Sunset Cruise via Crystal Yacht. The sunset cruise was RM250 per person inclusive of pickup and drop off, Dinner Buffet and Free flow of drinks and halfway through the cruise, there is a salt water Jacuzzi which was great for those who got a little bored on the trip. The girls obviously did what we do best, taking lots and lots of pictures and posting it via social media. Oh well....

The next day we decided to do some snorkeling at the Pulau Payar Marine Park which was only like RM130 per person for the day trip including packed lunch. The lunch wasn't great but i guess it didn't matter since we were all more happy with the baby shark and of course the free tanning.

Yes, I am planning for another Langkawi trip again, but this time maybe a stop over to Koh Lipe
